3 Steps to Applying for a Mortgage

So, you want to buy a house and get a mortgage? Fantastic! You're in the right place. My job is to help you get that mortgage. You're next question is probably, how do we do that? Am I right? Look no further, below I outline our three step process to applying for a mortgage:

1. 20 Minute Phone Application

The first step is for us to have a 20 minute phone chat. During this chat I will ask you for basic personal information such as your date of birth, address history, employment history and a list of assets. This will form the base of your application.

2. Gather Your Documents

After that first phone call I will send you a list of documents that I will need to collect from you. This is a really important part of the process. We will not present any numbers or options to you without first securing and reviewing your proof of income, down payment, and a credit report. There are simply too many variables at play in the mortgage industry these days and we want to give you as accurate of an assessment as possible. We need as much information as possible in order to do that.

3. Choose Your Lender

Now that we know what you qualify for and have all the paperwork that we need to send to the lender it is time to choose your lender. This is where our team differs a little from other brokerages. We want you to choose where your mortgage is placed. To do this we carefully vet your unique scenario with all of our lenders and prepare a comparison sheet that outlines the terms and conditions of each lender that would be a good fit for you. I will sit down with you and work through the sheet explaining each condition and what it means for you. At the end of that meeting I will ask you to choose your top three lenders. And that's it! You're now ready no make an offer on your new home!
