Caroline Roach, BBA
Hello and welcome! I'm Caroline and I'm a Mortgage Broker, mom, wife, and volunteer living in Nanaimo BC on beautiful Vancouver Island. When I'm not working hard helping families get into homes you can find me exploring the trails with my dog Hardi, out fishing with my husband Dave, or working in my garden nurturing along the next season's crop.
My Story
I've always had an interest in homes and housing, in a way you could say I was raised in the housing market. Growing up my father was a realtor. Some of my earliest memories are of being his helper, hours spent folding feature sheets, driving from real estate office to real estate office stuffing them into inboxes. Those were the good old days before email marketing. Over the years my interest in housing has changed. I've watched our perspective on homes change, from that of a place to call home to a place to invest our money. And while I do believe in investment, I also believe in access to housing.
British Columbia, and in particular our little slice of it, Vancouver Island, is becoming one of the most housing challenged places in the world. Becoming a homeowner has never been as hard as it is today, but it's not impossible. We all deserve to have a safe, stable, home that brings us joy. With a housing and mental health crisis colliding I can't help but think the two are intertwined. When we are connected to the place we call home, when that space brings us joy, our mental well being improves. My goal is to empower as many families and individuals as I can to use their mortgage as a tool to achieve their financial and lifestyle goals.
