5 Reasons Why Mortgage Brokers are THE BEST

So you want to know more about using a mortgage broker? That’s fantastic! Personally I think mortgage brokers are AWESOME! Ok maybe I’m a little bit biased since I am one, but bear with me here while I explain why:

1. Mortgage brokers work for you

When you become my client I am working for you, I become your advocate when working towards an approval with a lender. I don’t just offer you one lender or product, that’s what banks do. I assess your needs based on your specific situation and then I show you mortgages from different lenders so that together we can find the one that makes the most sense for (yeah you guessed it) YOU.

2. Choice

There is no “one size fits all” mortgage, no really, there isn’t. Every lender has different products with different conditions and by working with a broker you are able to choose which mortgage you want.

3. Ethical and unbiased mortgage education

This should probably be number one, since in my opinion it is the biggest advantage. My job is not to sell you a mortgage. I mean sure, in order for me to make money (my son and my dog really appreciate it when I feed them) I need to close mortgages. BUT and that is a big BUT, I will never EVER do that at the expense of my clients. My job, as I see it, is to educate you on mortgages and the different products that you qualify for so that you can make an informed decision.

4. You are my client for life

After the mortgage closes I still consider you my client, one year later, three years later, yup still my client, you really can’t get rid of me that easily. But seriously and in all honesty I am all about building lifelong relationships. Any time during the life of your mortgage if you have questions I answer them. Lender did something you didn’t understand, you call me and I talk to them. What I am trying to say is that I am here to help you in any way that you need until you no longer have a mortgage, and hey isn’t that the goal here?! (yup I can even help you come up with a plan to pay down your mortgage faster!)

5. I care

This probably seems a little wishy washy, and you’re like yeah right Caroline, you don’t really care. But I do. Mortgages aren’t on houses, they are on homes. I want to help you create your home. For the most part our whole life revolves around our homes. They are our biggest investment, most valuable asset, and not to sound cheesy but where our heart is. I want to make sure that the mortgage we put you in supports your goals and your life style so that you can live the life you want.
